So
I bought a group of Big Show candy boxes some ten years ago.
A few had cards inside them, they were tightly pressed against the inside
of the box. I am sure the original purchaser never knew they were there
I slid two mint movie stars and one baseball card from the elephant boxes.
They were hidden for some 80 years

Great treasure hunting, Jim, very cool to figure that out and find the cards. Can you post the cards, it would be fun to see them.

Sadly, Troy, I cannot locate the movie star images, but here is my Big Show Candy
baseball card. It is the only Shapira Bros example known of George "high pockets" Kelly
And perhaps one of the worst E 5509787638_31ab08ab81_w.jpg  Card images ever printed

Still Jim, how cool is it that you got to pull this from the box? Pretty cool!

Here's an addition for the Babe Ruth set.  The portrait card without the arrows.

It would probably cost a lot more to find 250 of these cards now than it would to buy a signed Babe Ruth baseball.

Jim's story of finding these cards hidden in the box reminded me of something I found years ago.  In a Leader Novelty box with a bunny on it, I found some candies that apparently were meant for the R146 Leader Superman boxes, same image of Superman busting out of his chains that is on the R146 box.  Excuse my poor photography and upside down image.
