Hey Tom,
Do you know if there are rules for the embedded pictures in threads, like maximum sizes, etc?

The reason I ask is I added a picture to a thread but it shrunk it some. The image wasn't that much larger but the smaller one didn't quite show the detail. I wondered why it did it?

poked around a little and didn't see anything about throttling embedded pictures or anything.......odd that it shrunk it just a little bit.  Let me know if it keeps happening......gotta be Russian interference..........

Todd's an expert computer whiz, but sometimes it's the simple things that can even throw the experts off. (Like the mechanic who can't start his car because it's out of gas.) I'm not saying this is the problem but the last time that happened to me, it was because I was posting an image that for some odd reason had a resolution less that 72 dpi. I'm sure that's not it, but if all else fails, it's worth checking.

Kurt,
I wish it was a simple as that. The photo was actually 96dpi. It actually looked like it changed it to 72dpi. But then I re-scaled it with the same number of dots across but as 72dpi and re-uploaded it and it did the same thing.
