A friend and I were chatting about Ireland's card in the 1933 Goudey Soldier Boys set and he asked if that could be Ireland's first card as its own country (post-1922). It struck me that enough flag and culture sets exist that something else would exist between 1922 and 1933, perhaps a UK cigarette card. Can't find anything via search with my limited knowledge. Anyone know of one in that decade window for Ireland or Irish culture?

There was certainly a couple of Silk cigarette card set issued by Godfrey Phillips, Irish Patriots (10 card set in 3 different  sizes ) and Irish Republican Stamp (single card set ).Having trouble finding exact year of issue but around 1925. Think I have a card from the first set named I'll try and post a photo.

There is an Ireland card in the Children Of All Nations (C6) set issued by Imperial Tobacco Company Of Canada that was supposedly issued in 1924.
