How common or uncommon are the Duke Cigarettes cards of actresses with the 744 Million back?  I've only got 4 in my collection among many hundreds of what I'd consider 'common' cards.  Are they worth anything more of any significance?  Just wondering as I look for them all the time and never find them.  Not even sure where these came from either.

Tom,
I don't think this helps, but I have 13 Duke printed backs (N245D) and 4 of them are like yours.

Still good to know how many are out there.  I just bought a couple off ebay in a lot and those were the first ones I've seen in years.  One had back damage but the 744 was still visible.  The other is the one pictured above.  Thanks for the info Chuck!  I'm planning on setting up in Pittsburg in the spring I think......

Tom,
When I saw this post I thought you had given Marty a heart attack. Imagine, a tobacco set with 744 million backs!

I have information from a reliable source that Marty Krim, our fearless Non-sportsman of the Year, is up to around 426 million of the total 744 million backs in his master set. He says that there's still a long way to go but he is confident that he will get all of them before he dies.

There is some disagreement among experts on how many backs there actually are in the N245 series. I personally think there are only 738 million but several others believe that the count is as high as 750 or so. Another one of those mysteries we may never solve until Marty finishes his master set!
